The book had 284 pages or 3728 locations on my kindle. The book was about 2 men, Dair and Robin. Robin was a gay soft ware developer. Dair was a straight mechanic and ex marine. Robin and his best friend were looking for a roommate. Dair was looking for a home and some friends. The book contained a few kisses, some decent oral sex, a bit of rimming and an anal sex scene near the end. The Robin character was ok. He was sweet, shy and a bit gullible. My issues with this book. Dair was too good too be true. He rescued handicapped animals, cooked, bought food for his friends, fixed a car for free and staid over at work. I didn't like the fact, that Dair had barely known Robin, for 3 months, before he decided to jump thru all these hoops for Robin. I also did not like the fact, that Dair did not think, he was good enough for Robin. Overall the deep, emotional attachment happened too soon for me. Overall didn't love this" This was a very sweet and fun book for me, with lots of humor and just enough seriousness to keep it from becoming too schmaltzy. I spent a lot of time smiling and laughing out loud. I found the main characters likeable; in fact, Dair is SO perfect that he'd be nauseating if he didn't have his own self doubt as an imperfection to make him a little more realistic. The side characters are fun as well, except for, of course, Robin's horrid ex, but that's a given from the blurb. His one friend Emery is possibly a bit much over the top and there are some clichés here and there, but I really enjoyed the whole story. The fake boyfriend thing didn't feel too forced and when Robin and Dair made mistakes or didn't communicate well, there was enough in their backgrounds to make those mistakes believable enough.The narration by Nick J. Russo was quite good.
